CHOOSING CANVAS OR PAPER

Choose between a print on canvas or paper is really a decision on the desired look and the practical aspects of display.  Each option has its unique characteristics, but ultimately the decision depends on your personal preferences.

Canvas Prints

  • Glass-free display - Canvas prints offer a sleek and modern look without the need for glass.  This absence of glass eliminates glare and reflections, providing a more immersive viewing experience.

  • Texture and depth - The canvas texture adds depth and dimension to the artwork, enhancing its visual appeal.

  • Lighter to hang - Framed canvas prints are lighter and easier to hang than glass framed prints.

  • Ready to hang - If you live in Australia and choose a canvas print I can offer you an additional framing service so that your print is ready to hang as soon as you receive it.  For International sales, canvas prints will be sent rolled, in a tube to allow for more economical shipping methods.  When you receive your print, take the tube directly to your local framer where they will be able to stretch and frame your print as you desire.

Paper Prints

  • Glass protection - paper prints typically require framing behind glass to protect the artwork from dust, moisture and potential damage.  The glass adds a layer of preservation.

  • Versatility - choosing paper prints allows for a variety of framing options, enabling customers to select frames that complement their existing home decor.

  • Shipping considerations - While canvas prits can be framed and shipped within Australia, transporting paper prints with glass can be more challenging.  As a result, local framing is recommended.
